Deep roots in the forest

Derome AB dates back to 1947, when Karl Andersson founded the first circular saw in Derome, in the Swedish county of Halland.
Today the Derome Group is run by the second and third generations of the family and has grown to become the biggest family-owned timber company in Sweden.

The Derome group works across the entire chain – from forest to finished houses. Wood is ”the green link” in our business and owners and employees alike take great pride in working with renewable resources from the Swedish forest.

The business concept – Homes from the forest

Derome’s business concept is to process and deliver wood and building materials from forest to finished house in a rational and convenient manner for the customer. This enables us to add more value to forest products than any other Swedish company.

The Derome group has a leading position in southern and mid-Sweden where we are most active. We operate production facilities in many cities and supply a unique range of environmentally and quality-assured products for the Swedish market as well as a number of export countries.

Customised with top quality

We always place the needs and expectations of our customers above everything else. In the end, it’s all a matter of trust.

Regular quality-improvement measures are the basis of the quality system that guarantees our customers receive the right products at the right time, in the right place and with the right quality. This means we need to understand our customers’ needs well and respond to them directly.

Long-term business approach

Long-term thinking is the hallmark of our operations. It is reflected in our business relationships as well as in our corporate culture and investments. Our goal is to remain leaders in terms of innovation and technology. Profits are reinvested in the business.
