Untreated cladding

We offer a wide range of untreated cladding products, from high-quality sawn boards to profiled cladding.

In addition to our high-quality sawn boards, we offer an extensive range of untreated profiled cladding. All exterior cladding features grooved edges, which facilitate painting and help reduce the risk of mould growth during the construction period. We also stock the most common types of tongue-and-groove cladding.

Primed cladding - extended service life

Industrial priming offers several advantages. Derome's cladding is primed in a controlled production environment where factors such as moisture levels, temperature and coating application are carefully monitored.

A dry film thickness of 60 μm is applied to the sawn surface, providing a thicker and more uniform coating than can typically be achieved with a brush. We use a white, water-based acrylic primer that offers the same level of protection as oil-based alternatives while having a lower environmental impact.

Before installation, exposed end grain should be treated with a suitable end-grain sealer or primer to provide additional protection to these vulnerable areas.

A comprehensive product range

Derome's range of primed cladding comprises approximately 80 products. The assortment includes high-quality sawn cladding boards with grooved edges in widths ranging from 45 to 195 mm, as well as cladding boards and battens in a variety of profiles.

Our products are stored in dry conditions at Derome Timber's central warehouse. Maintaining a comprehensive stock range enables fast and cost-effective deliveries.

In addition to the primed cladding included in our standard range, we also offer factory-undercoated cladding and traditional Swedish red-painted cladding. Acrylic-primed cladding in colours other than white is available as a bespoke product.

Painted cladding

The cladding is factory-primed and undercoated and, for maximum durability, should be finished on site with a topcoat of your choice.

Undercoated cladding can remain exposed for up to five years before the final topcoat is applied.

For best results, apply the topcoat by spray or brush.
